Help us plan YOUR MS Self-Care day

Neuro Hebrides are teaming up with Professor Gavin Giovannoni, an Expert Neurologist of MS with over 30 years experience in MS and related disorders, as well as the MS Society and other expert organisations to bring a special Self-care day to the Outer Hebrides.

This is a fantastic opportunity for MS patients and those involved in the care of MS patients, to help to plan what the day will deliver. It will be tailored specifically to those with MS and the additional challenges faced by those living on the Islands.

Professor Giovannoni has offered to design and deliver a programme of workshops to help equip patients and their carers with information and confidence for improving their self-care.

The programme will be online and open to patients across the Western Isles.

This is a fantastic opportunity to have time with some really experienced Neurologists.

Before we start planning the content of this special programme, we want to make sure this is designed to give people the information they need, not the information we think you need.

It will be really helpful if you can spread the word to other folk who would benefit and have a think about what you would like to be covered in these sessions.

Prof Giovannoni also runs a website called MS Selfie, which has lots of invaluable advice and you can sign up to receive newsletters for free.

The MS Society also have a fantastic resource The Wellbeing Hub where there is lots of invaluable information.

Get in touch with Neuro Hebrides and let us know what it is you want to find out more about. Do you need more information on different medications and treatments, therapies, diet, Brainfog, Physiotherapy, Mental health etc. Or are you newly diagnosed and want to know where to go from here.

You can email n.heb@outlook.com or contact us via our website or give us a call 07385 596842.

We hope that if the MS Self Care day is successful for People of the Outer Hebrides, we will look into options for similar days for other Neurological conditions.
