Alasdair Allan MSP held a surgery for Neuro Hebrides on the 30th September where the group raised a number of concerns.  Mr Allan said he would find out what contingency plans WIHB have in place for medication post-Brexit as it was highlighted there were already issues arising for local pharmacies in accessing medicines.  Group members also mentioned issues with disabled access both pre-boarding as well as when onboard the ferries which he will check with the company.  There was also as a request to ensure the new online booking system for the ferries would be mindful of those with a disability.  He intends to contact Epilepsy Scotland and NHSWI Epilepsy Nurse around issues raised at this surgery, including the availability of training locally.  He is also awaiting an update on waiting list times for neurology appointments which remain excessively long.  A further surgery for Neuro Hebrides with Alasdair Allan is planned for March 2020.
